Job Description
Position Summary
Position will inspect product according to specifications and standards. Documents non conformances and works with associates to implement corrective and preventive action. The incumbent will generate summary reports and identify trends in process performance. Operates a variety of manual gages to inspect parts. This position will be involved in compiling PPAP documentation for customers. This individual will be working closely with Production Operations and Engineering.
Responsibilities- Use manual inspection tools to validate part conformance
- Conduct audits and analyze data to identify corrective and preventive improvements
- Assures that products produced represents the desired quality and reliability
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with APQP and PPAP
- Documents first piece article and PPAP parts
- Conduct 8D and 5Why investigations of issues
- Assists with training new operators on proper inspection techniques
Qualifications
Experience and Skill Required- AS in Quality Technology or equivalent program and 3 years of experience or 5 years of directly related Quality experience
- ASQ inspection certification a plus
- Six Sigma certification a plus
- ISO9001 Experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Must possess experience in reading and interpreting component drawings and determining correct gage usage
- Experience in machining process with preference in gear manufacturing preferred
