- Lead design effort for all aspects of electrical and control systems using (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) COTS hardware
- Panel layout and electrical raceway design. Branch circuit design and calculations per National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Prototype validation, root cause analysis, and countermeasure recommendations
- Specify components and cabling and select sensors and controllers
- Support Reliability Testing of electronic sensors, controllers, and electrical components to meet performance and regulatory requirements
- Develop test procedures for prototype validation testing. Set-up Data Acquisition Equipment, select sensors and program data acquisition programs in LabVIEW for prototype validation in the lab and in the Field.
- Support testing of equipment in Test Lab and/or field by creating test procedures, selecting appropriate sensors and data acquisition equipment, and programming data acquisition equipment if necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design and product development
- Panel layout and electrical raceway design experience with low and medium voltage systems
- Experience with developing prototype testing and validation is desired
- Must possess the ability to prioritize, motive self and others, strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Off-road mobile equipment electrical and control system design using (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) COTS hardware is preferred
- Experience with National Instrument Controllers and LabVIEW is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is required and Solid Works is a plus
- Strong data collection and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, including verbal (logical and organized), written, listening and presentation
- Must will be able to travel 10-15% mainly for supplier meetings for product development purposes, factory visits for prototype builds and Validation, and field visits for validation of prototypes
