empathic
Showing an ability to understand and share the feelings of
another
Have you been told you are an empath? What if I said that you
could make a career from this strength of yours?
Perhaps you’ve thought about caregiving but are intimidated
by the skills that you believe that you need to possess before you start. No
worries! We will take care of you. Our hands-on training can prepare you for a
variety of situations. In addition, when you provide in-home care, you have the
ability to take your time with each person. We also have many opportunities for
you to tag along on shifts to learn from those already providing care. In
addition, we have one person dedicated to working very closely with you in your
first 90 days to ensure you are off to a good start and be your advocate.
All Orientation Classes will include two days of required,
paid training in our Caregiver Learning Center dedicated to hands-on practice
of the skills you need to succeed. Learn proper transfer technique, dressing
& bathing assistance, bed baths, working with adult incontinence, adaptive
devices, transfer devices, and more. We also have a variety of continuing
education classes on an ongoing basis, including working with Alzheimer’s,
Parkinson’s, and diabetes.
In-home care is the perfect environment in which to learn new
skills without the overwhelm. Our staff is available to provide additional
training to help reinforce what you’ve learned.
As a caregiver, you are able to work a variety of shifts. Let
us know your availability, and we can find clients that work for you. We have
days, evenings, and overnights available. Shifts are from as little as 1 hour
up to 24+ hours. Let us know your preferences! All employees are required to be
available for at least 8 hours of weekend work per month.
