Mosquito Squad of Waukesha is looking for seasonal mosquito and tick control field technicians who are ready to work hard, enjoy the outdoor weather this summer and make money! Competitive hourly wage with season-end bonus based on attendance and employee performance! We have positions available for individuals able to work approximately mid-April through mid-October. We also have positions that are great for college students that run mid-May through the end of August.

No experience is necessary. This position entails applying company product to customers' landscaping according to schedule and as needed based on service requests.

Position Responsibilities:

-Possessing or having the ability to obtain Technician certification in DATCP 5.0. is absolutely necessary. DATCP 3.0 and 7.1 are optional, but highly suggested.

-Participate fully in training opportunities provided to enhance knowledge and to meet requirements for licensing.

-Drive company vehicle to client sites and apply pesticides to landscaping according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions in a professional, safe, friendly and cordial manner. Build positive, strong relationships with clients.

-Identify sources of client pest issues, and practice tactics in source reduction.

-Work in safe manner in accordance with state requirements, OSHA policies and procedures, and maintaining and utilizing required safety equipment when performing duties. Follow company guidelines when using tools, equipment, and materials. Ensure safety of clients and the public while performing duties and complete required production forms.

-Work flexible schedule as required to meet weekly responsibilities, including occasional weekend hours.

-Respond cooperatively to requests for help from fellow employees.

-Maintain a clean company vehicle and operate vehicle safely and legally.

-Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicle.

-Communicate daily with service manager. Complete job documentation accurately and timely.

-Wearing clean company uniform and appropriate footwear and maintaining personal hygiene.

-Expertly answer frequently-asked client questions.

-Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

-Jobs require standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs is required.

-Behaves consistently and predictably - reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling obligations.

-Diligently checks work to ensure that all essential details have been considered, notices errors or inconsistencies, and takes prompt, thorough action to correct errors.

-Demonstrates a positive attitude towards work.

-Friendly, pleasant, courteous and professional when dealing with internal or external clients.

-Cooperative, willing to share knowledge, cross train, and take on additional responsibilities.

-Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

-Hold a valid Wisconsin driver's license

-Must be at least 16 years old

For candidates that are offered employment, continued employment through the 2019 season is contingent upon passing technician exam DATCP 5.0 by the start of the season on May 1st.
