We are a team of 6 software engineers who work on digital tools that provide learning opportunities and events for our financial representatives. As well, we work with other teams in our department to influence the experience for new financial representatives from contracting through onboarding with digital development across the whole experience. What are the must haves for this role: • 3+ years professional application development experience • 3+ years professional Java or NodeJS experience • 1+ year professional ReactJS, HTML5, CSS experience • Fast learner and self-starter. • Strong problem-solving skills What are the nice to haves for this role: • Full-stack developer experience. • Cloud (AWS) development experience • Containerized development experience (Docker/Kubernetes) • Experience designing microservices • MySQL or another relational database experience • NoSQL or another non-relational database experience • Experience working on a Scrum/Agile team • Experience with DevOps processes and tools to build and deploy application • Familiarity with SCM tools (GitLab) • CI-CD tools (GitLab CI) • Experience with TDD practices and browser test automation What will be the work schedule: Work schedule is 8 working hours per day and is flexible for start time. Common day is 8:00 AM Central time - 5:00 PM (which includes 1 hour unpaid lunch break) After hours or weekend time is needed on an ad hoc basis to deploy software and/or perform checkouts.
