Locus is currently searching for an A/V Lead Technician. This will be a 6 month contract to permanent role with 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM. This will require travel around Wisconsin and some parts of Minnesota. Expenses are covered and company vehicle will be provided. Hourly Rate: $30 to $40 per hour W2 Benefits: Locus offers medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, and paid time off to all full-time employees.

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: TheAV Lead Technician is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. You will routinely perform project-based installations and service-based repair calls at client locations. You are responsible for design, management, administration and integration of products, services, applications, and operating level systems code. You will handle responsibilities from basic system installations to the overall architecture and design of custom solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Engineer, install and maintain new or existing AV equipment.2. Troubleshoot basic AV systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems. 3. Run new low voltage cable in new or existing client buildings.4. Terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling.5. Install and assemble racking equipment.6. Maintain current technical knowledge and continuously work to expand knowledge of new technology and equipment.7. Perform all work in a safe manner including but not limited to loading/unloading vehicles, lifting equipment, climbing, etc. to protect yourself and your coworkers. Use good judgment and give constant attention to the work being done.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      • Associate’s degree and four years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Previous experience with IP networking and data technologies preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

    • Current high level industry recognized certifications including one or more of the following: QSC, CTS or CTS-I RU credit, Biamp, BSS Level 1, AV Associate Certification Program, CTI-P101 or DSP required.
    • Crestron certification or Crestron experience preferred
    • Power Limited Technician License (if state required)Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance and an acceptable driving record.
