We are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to organize the kitchen's activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive to customers, ensuring high quality and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
-Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
-Assist in constructing menus based on seasonal traffic, ensuring variety and quality
-Approve and "polish" dishes before they reach the customer
-Assist in planning orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
-Alert management of repairs when necessary
-Quickly remedy any problems or defects
-Assist in hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
-Oversee the work of subordinates
-Work with management to schedule kitchen employees
-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
-Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-coworkers
-Assist in the development of unique events and catering opportunities in the slower seasons
Requirements
-Proven experience as chef
-Ability to produce quality dishes at a high volume
-Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
-Ability to delegate as needed and monitor progress
-Outstanding communication and leadership skills
-Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
-Culinary science education or applicable work experience
-Dependability and a sense of personal responsibility
