ABOUT THE JOB

This role reports to the Manager, Supply Planning & Purchasing, and is responsible for the planning and on-time delivery of sourced components and finished goods. Will own product category throughout the network and will work closely with demand planning, factory, warehouses, and transportation teams. Maintains relationships with key stakeholders and reports metrics that drive continuous improvement, high fill rates, and a streamlined workflow in a dynamic fast paced environment. Develop long range planning while considering inventory levels, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for purchased part requirements, work with suppliers to level-load and adjust as needed.
  • Provide clear communication to the business regarding product availability and timing, Identify and resolve short term product availability issues as needed
  • Develop and utilize various reports to manage open purchase orders (move-in/move-out) as business demands require.
  • Manage inventory levels to achieve/maintain budgeted levels; Maintain planning parameters including safety stocks
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Strategic Procurement to resolve issues, as required; Review and process Engineering changes and new product releases, as required.
  • Drive, promote and develop positive communication cross-functionally to improve forecast accuracy and ensure forecasts and purchase orders are effectively communicated to suppliers.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience in inventory management and procurement
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Previous experience with Oracle and Agile PLM preferred
