Job Description

The primary role and responsibility of the Sr. Project Manager is to lead the execution of Supply Chain/Sourcing projects and support the organization’s Supply Chain and Sourcing strategy initiatives. The Sr. Project Manager will develop project plans to ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget. This role is accountable for projects being delivered efficiently with consistency in results. The position requires extensive facilitation of and collaboration with the cross-functional groups including marketing, product management, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, finance, and other teams, as appropriate. The Sr. Project Manager is expected to understand the company’s strategic goals and initiatives, the current state of the business, and the internal business processes to ensure projects are addressing the critical needs of the business. The Sr. Project Manager will also be assisting the cross-functional teams with sourcing process improvements and/or development of processes to maximize efficiency within the Supply Chain.

YOUR ROLE:

Manage end-to-end strategic projects utilizing Project Management best practices

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver results by having the ability and open mindset to use different project management techniques as required (Daily Huddle, Kaizen, focused problem solving, etc.)
  • Understand the goals and initiatives of the overall business and is proactive in ensuring that they are addressed in each project (e.g., 80/20, Next Gen Sourcing)
  • Lead process improvement efforts that can benefit areas across the business
  • Assess, gain team consensus, and communicate project status to Senior Management
  • Develop, monitor, and control project schedules with proactive risk mitigation and issue resolution.
  • Ensure project deliverables and tasks are appropriately resourced
  • Maintain strong relationships throughout organization building a cross-functional network
  • Facilitate communication across all business functions and external partners
  • Resolve conflicts between competing priorities of various functions
  • Works autonomously within project boundaries
  • Takes corrective actions as required to deliver complete scope, at desired quality, cost targets, on time and within budget for own projects. Effectively manage change as needed
  • Earn trust of all levels (i.e. Individual Contributors, Managers, Directors, VPs, and President)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years experiences working in engineering, operations or supply chain fields; Minimum of 3 years direct project management experience
  • A strong track record in successful project management
  • Experience with Supply Chain/Operations project management
  • Ability to collaborate and align within all levels of the organization to drive results
  • Experience in managing projects for both internally manufactured and sourced products
  • Excellent, clear and concise communication skills
  • Highly motivated and enjoys a results-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects which are on aggressive schedules
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with Oracle EBS preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PDMA certification preferred
