Tsotala is adding a Part Time and full time teacher to our staff.
We are looking for qualified individuals to join us in loving, caring for and educating children ages 2 weeks to 14 years of age
This is a perfect opportunity for Tsotala, Early Childhood and Education majors and others devoted to meeting the developmental needs of children, to grow as part of a positive and dedicated team. Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and have earned 60 college credits with a minimum of 6 credits in Early Childhood. 1 year of Early Childhood experience may be substituted for 30 college hours. Applicants must have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Previous child care experience is a plus. All applicants must possess a child-friendly demeanor, be able to move easily between standing, table and floor activities and be able to lift 35 lbs. Responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents
Collaborating with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child
Creating indoor and outdoor activities within curriculum that provide a rich and varied experience for each child
Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for students
Completion of annual in-service hours and any online child care training as is required by DCFS/DHS
COVID-19 considerations:
Daily health screenings for all staff and students.
Building closed to all but enrolled families and employees.
Masks/Face shields for all staff and children over 2.
Enhanced cleaning protocols.
