Minga is a small wholesale distributor specializing in Fair Trade products including clothing, jewelry, and gift items. We are looking for an honest, humble, hard-working developer with an eye for detail. This will be a full-time, long term position located in Lake Geneva, WI. Lake Geneva is a scenic small town with an affordable cost of living that is in comfortable distance of 4 large cities.

Our company needs a full stack developer to assist in our day-to-day marketing, advertising, and brand building through website development. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as polished customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is able to multitask, is reliable, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage an e-commerce website using WordPress themes for WooCommerce.

Ensure maximum site uptime and troubleshoot any issues as they arise.

Review and refine web content as needed.

Optimize web performance and enhance web experience for our customers.

Integrate, maintain, and customize existing WooCommerce Extensions and Wordpress Plugins along with routine updates to website frameworks and databases.

Coordinate with a 3rd party to ensure the sync scripts between our site and our database are more efficient/work as intended.

Add more advanced web functionality: adding minimum amounts to products, cart suggestions, loyalty points on web, wishlist creation, streamlining the checkout process, secure payments on web, displaying restock information on product pages, and cart reminder push emails.

Implement analytics to track sales and measure the impact of changes made by you and the rest our team.

API development

SEO Optimization

Collaborate with marketing/design staff to ensure consistency, improve design and conversions, and a more user friendly experience.

Skills and Qualifications

WordPress: 1 year

WooCommerce: 1 year

Ability to proofread and edit web content, catalogs, and other printed materials.

The following abilities are a plus but not required:

Bilingual, Spanish

Graphic design, sales, or customer service skills

Ability to develop, manage, and maintain a workable app for Android and Apple users.

Experience with Filemaker Pro.
