Description:The Sustaining Engineer will understand the design and application of the components so that they can work with vendors and internal test teams to identify alternative components.
Types of components: anything you’d see in an industrial grade computer: transistors, resistors, capacitors, memory, IC chips, etc
The EE will research a given vendor that had been used for a certain component, research that component and then scour the internet and talk to vendors to identify replacements.
