Our Data Analysts get to know business areas to fully understand their processes and their corresponding data needs. They apply this knowledge when extracting and collating data to meet user requests. This may involve gathering data from multiple internal sources in an efficient and effective way. Our team members work to extract and integrate data from external sources to provide additional insights into business processes and results. Data Analysts work diligently to further develop understanding of business processes and how they impact the flow of data within internal systems. In tackling the challenging tasks, they continue to develop and maintain knowledge of the predictive analytics and insurance industries to ensure all the best output is provided.

In this role, it is expected that the Data Analyst works closely with team members to analyze reported results and determine if output meets expected outcomes. By using knowledge of how information flows within our systems and an understanding of how we extract and analyze various data elements, you will be able to further develop database skills to be able to work with moderate to complex data sets. Our Data Analysts assist with the maintenance and testing of data systems and investigate data quality problems and work with team members and IT to resolve issues.

WHAT IT TAKES• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience focusing on data analytics, mathematics, actuarial, finance or insurance.• 1+ years of related work experience.• Organizational skills to coordinate, request and control data from numerous sources.• Strong working knowledge of business software, including MS Office applications.• Strong written and verbal communication skills including analytical and research ability.• Demonstrated understanding of data systems and tools used for reporting.• Establish and maintain effective working relationships. • Work with purpose ensuring deadlines are met.• Experience with SQL or SAS is helpful.
