Job Title: Journeyman Industrial ElectricianJob DescriptionWork from blueprints, wiring diagrams, sketches, PLC Programming Equipment, and instructions. Plan, layout and install electrical systems, circuits, and equipment. Make electrical repairs, diagnose problems, replace, or repair components, test and make operating adjustments. Modify existing electrical systems and circuits, work with PLC’s, and prepare wiring diagrams to record changes. Replace building and production equipment such as motors and control panels as required. Repair electric motors and test in electric shop. Fill out maintenance logbook. Maintain inventory of electrical materials and supplies. Coordinate work with other electricians and follow-up on projects/electronic testing equipment. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems. Use electrical meters and gauges, common hand and hand power tools, hand carts, high lift and ladders. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other duties as assigned.Responsibilities

Electrical troubleshooting
Journeyman Card
Proficient in most required department equipment setups
Proficient in applicable computer programs and equipment controls
Knowledge of all Standard Operating Procedures for department equipment
Knowledge of power and department tools
Proper use of measuring instruments, gauges, meters
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
Knowledge of mechanical processes
A.C./D.C. knowledge
Certified in Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
Knowledge of large compactor operation
Knowledge of plant and department layout
Completes Industrial Lift Truck Certifications
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Requires knowledge of machining technology, mechanical principles, advanced shop mathematics, job layout and precision measuring procedures, setups, tooling applications, operating methods and machining characteristics of materials
