Our Waukesha Municipal team is seeking a passionate and ambitious intern willing to work on a variety of office and field functions to improve the places we live, work, and play. We look forward to providing a meaningful experience towards your future profession.On any given day, you'll:

Assist with construction inspection on water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadway, asphalt or concrete pavement, curb and gutter, construction staking such as subgrade and base course; and other duties.

Between construction projects, assistance with design projects and plan production would be possible. Duties would vary between Civil 3D design, plan detail drafting, quantity calculations and spreadsheet development.

This position is expected to last from late May through late August 2024 and may require overtime and out-of-town travel (generally within 60 miles of the office).

Required Qualifications:

Pursuing a degree in civil engineering.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites.

Ability to work a minimum 40 hours a week.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

Coursework or experience in construction, municipal, roadway, traffic or structural experience is beneficial.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
