Description:Role SummaryThe team developing industry leading MRI scanners is looking for highly motivated software engineers to join them to develop the next generation of MRI scanners. You will be responsible for designing, building, delivering, and maintaining software operating system platform releases spanning multiple computer platform for MRI scanner.Roles and Responsibilities:In this role, you will:• Keep abreast of Linux Service Pak releases, recommend adoption and do the adoption• Assist in hardware selection for EoL replacement of alternative modules and for Next Gen HW• Be interface to root cause issues with OS partners (SUSE), Firmware (FW) and Hardware (HW) teams• Facilitate performance issues triage and resolution when spanning HW, FW and OS modules or settings• Augment OS RPM packaging and install scripts.• Do Diagnostics development – augmenting what comes from IHV and/or ISV.• Implementing Security and Serviceability changes at Compute HW layer.• Test automation development for Diagnostics/ SW packages/Linux SP releases.• Understand research and industry trends in the area of Compute, containers, virtual machines, cyber security, Linux OS and packaging technologiesDrive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuseSupport process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activitiesUnderstand performance parameters and assess application performanceQuality Specific Goals:• Aware of and comply with the client Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/positionRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with minimum years of experience 8+ years• Experience with Linux OS kernel programming on X86 systems.• Demonstrate 5 years of coding experience in C, and Scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python• Experience in Linux software packaging tools and operating system appliance builder tools such as Kiwi• Working knowledge in configuration management tools such as Git, GitLab or PerforceDesired Expertise:• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical EngineeringExperience with GPU, Drivers, BIOS, networking, DevOps concepts, software and toolsDemonstrated expertise with Linux Service Packs adoption, security patches installation• Experience with automated test suites infrastructure - test case development, automation and continuous integration• Experience with Cyber security tools, PEN testing, vulnerabilities diagnosis and delivering software fixes• Experience with High Performance Compute or GPU technologies such as Open CL, Tensor Flow• Familiarity with C/C and Python IDEs (Eclipse, CLion, Visual Studio, PyCharm)• Familiarity with C programming and Object-oriented programing concepts applied in a production software environment.• Scrum Master experience.Work shift (days/times) – 1st shift ; Mon-FriWork Location – HYBRID
