Installation of Access Control and Video Security Systems
Experience with installing Access Control Hardware to include the following;
o Central Control Head-End Equipment
o Network Nodes
o Card Reader and keypad Installation (HID for example)
o Understanding of various electric Door locksets & Installation
o Experience with configuring Access Control Systems
o Understanding the physical wiring (best practice) for network nodes, door locksets, and readers
Experience with installing Video Security to include the following;
o Experience with various IP Video technologies
o Understanding of IP Camera placements and it relates to its surroundings
o Knowledge with converged IP Video and Access Control offerings
o Experience with configuring video management systems (VMS)
o Understanding the physical wiring (best practice) of the IP Cameras
Report to shop and/or customer job-site at required start time
Support Lead to ensure all materials and/or tools needed are on van before you leave for job-site
Responsible for and takes ownership of education/career path. (For example-BICSI trade school)
Drive towards career path required training (could be other training paths)
Assist with the installation of low voltage cabling, physical security offerings, etc. per provided scope of work
Keeping work-site clean of debris, closing ceiling tiles daily before you leave site, ensure all tools and/or
materials are locked up in a room per customer approval otherwise loaded back on van daily
Assist lead technician in ensuring tools are maintained and organized in an orderly manner
Assist lead technician in maintenance checks on company vehicle as required
Daily time and detailed notes entry into CW
Daily accurate time entry into ADP ensuring that it matches up with entry into CW
Reacts well under pressure and has ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events while working a
project
