- Designs, develops, and executes automated as well as manual test plans, processes, and procedures meant to validate and improve data quality throughout the various data domains in the organization.
- Reviews and correlates requirements specifications, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, technical design documents, etc. to test plans and data quality processes and solutions.
- She/he also will provide timely and meaningful feedback specific to backlog content, analyzes data set to understand usability and quality, and identifies trends in defects or errors to ensure proactive course correction.
- Estimates, plans, and executes testing activities sprint to sprint and quarter to quarter.
- Investigates quality failures, recommends changes to prevent future quality issues, records, and analyzes/tracks bugs.
- Performs thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, and material changes have been introduced.
- Designs, develops, and executes automated data quality routines, solutions, and/or processes to increase coverage and reusability.
- Assesses and reports on the impact of process changes to code and solution quality.
- Performs work under general supervision and in a highly collaborative fashion.
- Handles moderate to complex issues and problems and engages higher-level staff on only the most complex issues as necessary.
- Possesses solid comprehensive knowledge and experience working with data warehouses, data lakes, as well as reporting and analytics solutions.
- Ability to provide coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group preferred but not required.
- 4+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on data warehousing and data quality
- Experience with automated and manual testing methodologies, processes, and strategies
- Problem & situation analysis
- Advanced experience with SQL
- Hands on automation experience
- Knowledge of and experience with data movement validation (ETL, ELT, CDC, etc.)
- Detail oriented
