Job Summary

The Rexnord Industrial Chain & Conveying seeks a dynamicBuyer/Planner with a desire for an engagingcareer in Supply Chain and Operations. The role is ideal for those who have a hands-on style, sharp analytical skills, and a desire to learn a lot within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a plan for material requirements to ensure a 98% OTD level.
  • Purchasing direct materials to a plan while implementing Kanban, VMI, and other pull techniques where applicable to achieve inventory metrics.
  • Manage cost drivers and be responsible for PPV in the designated areas of buy.
  • Monitor and improve productivity through the use Rexnord Business Systems tools.
  • Manage outside process requirements (machining, grinding, heat treat and plating) to meet timelines for finished goods production.
  • Familiarity with cellular manufacturing and JIT (Just in Time) concepts.
  • Requires demonstrated ability to look at the process and make improvements in reducing lead times and managing priorities and expedites to customer due dates and/or changes.
  • Support Make to Buy supply analysis.
  • Provide cost out in buy.
  • May on occasion negotiate price on non-contracted items.

  • Works well with supervision to bring solutions to any process gaps.
  • A certain degree of creativity and initiative is required to begin improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 1-3 years' experience required working in related field.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills translating to excellent communication skills.
  • SAP experience strongly desired.
  • Continuous improvement approach.
  • PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel). Must have the ability to efficiently generate spreadsheet information and summarize data into readable reports.
