Summary
This role is responsible for performing general maintenance of mining equipment with emphasis on lubrication needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Posses all skills and knowledge of a Maintenance 1 (Oiler)

Normally work with a more experienced maintenance person, however may work alone while checking compartment levels, filling compartments, changing fluids, greasing equipment, and other assigned tasks

Employees in this classification are expected to continue to learn and improve their skill in preparation of higher level classification and added responsibilities

Job classification may advance to Maintenance 3 upon employees request and completion of advancement, testing, and evaluation

Understand and execute all of the tasks in the task training documentation

Clean shop and all work areas

Demonstrate effective team skills, score a minimum 3 on the evaluation
Education/ Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions

Must be able to read and comprehend operation manuals pertaining to equipment lubrication and service

Must be a self starter with ability to work alone or in a team environment

Be able to look up lubrication specifications, lubrication viscosities and refill capacities.

Understand and execute all of the tasks in the task training documentation

Must score 40% minimum on skills testing and evaluation for this level, if not passed retesting and evaluation can be reconsidered in 6 months (at this time not in effect but saved for future evaluations)
Requirements
- Valid driver license or equivalent

- Normal reasoning skills

Basic understanding of mechanical lubrication needs

Proper avoidance of environmental contaminations or releases

Spill control and clean up
Physical/Environmental
- Lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

May be required to, but not limited to; sit, stand, kneel, crouch, climb, bend, and reach for unspecified time periods during a shift

Work exposures may include, but not limited to, the following conditions: wind, rain, snow, extreme heat, extreme cold, noise, dust, humid, wet, heights, trenches/pit, repetitive motion, shock impact to hands and joints, chemical and electrical hazards
