    This is a bargaining unit position.

    This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).

    This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region VIII in Casper, WY. The Outreach and Marketing Specialist will work with assigned groups, organizations and partners whose constituents, and/or member may benefit from the use of SBA programs and services.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the delivery of formal presentations to various internal and external audiences.
    • Participate in a variety of SBA public functions through outreach/presentations/trainings.
    • Participates in and observes training.
    • Serves as a representative responsible for coordinating with partners.

    Qualifications

    GS-07: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes: participating in outreach events; serving as an initial point of contact, for customers, to evaluate needs and refer to appropriate resources; providing administrative support to management. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Combination of Experience and Education:GS-07: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 6 months (9 semester hours) of graduate level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.
