HR/Payroll Specialist
Summary
Granite Peak Fabrication is seeking an HR/Payroll Specialist to join our current team and will be part of a dynamic accounting group that specializes in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. This position offers great long-term potential. We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical and organizational skills and enjoys working in a challenging environment to support the company’s continued growth and success.
Roles & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Manage and organize workflow for payroll
· Prepare, process, and reconcile payroll transactions for biweekly payroll processing
· Employee deduction verification – benefits, garnishments, or other payroll related deductions
· Journal entry posting of biweekly payrolls
· Benefit enrollments, terminations and payments
· Monthly accruals for payroll and vacation related items
· Monthly reconciliation of payroll and benefit accounts including cleanup of reconciling items
· Assist with onboarding, time corrections, employment verifications, employee HR issues
· Partial Accounting responsibilities helping with month end production job closing
· Other Accounting, Payroll and HR duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
· Team player with strong communication skills
· Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task
· Understanding of and ability to uphold confidentiality requirements
· Ability to meet strict deadlines
· ADP Payroll preferred
· JobBoss ERP Software preferred
· Excellent Excel spreadsheet knowledge
Requirements
· Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
· Or 5+ years’ experience with HR and payroll processing
