The Senior Physician Recruiter will lead the development and implementation of creative recruitment and sourcing strategies in order to attract, screen, recruit and select highly qualified, diverse candidates to fill Physician and Mid-Level Provider opportunities for Wyoming Medical Center. The Senior Physician Recruiter is responsible for fully utilizing multiple recruiting resources (job boards, social media, career web sites, professional organizations, and other possible channels) to source, recruit, interview, qualify and hire physicians and mid-level providers to work with our organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The employee shall comply with all safety and health standards, and all rules, regulations, and orders which are applicable to the individual's own position, actions, and conduct.

  • Develops and maintains a strong and plentiful candidate pipeline through strategic sourcing, including: networking, job board and social media utilization.

  • Interviews and screens candidates according to Wyoming Medical Center Requirements.

  • Presents recommendations to physician leadership team for interview.

  • Utilizes and manages applicant tracking programs.

  • Contacts candidate references.

  • Maintains positive candidate relationships.

  • Manages multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects that require detail-orientation.

  • Superior sales skills to close provider contracts.

  • Coordinates closely with physician leaders to identify potential candidates and track progress of searches.

  • Ensures recruitment profiles and advertising information for specialty area is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Schedules Wyoming Medical Center physicians to participate in recruitment opportunities.

  • Coordinates on-site interviews, including but not limited to, travel arrangements for physician candidates and their families to include transportation, hotel, automobile, interview itinerary, and any other special needs (e.g., childcare services).

  • Serves as the primary liaison, contact, and resource for physician recruitment, physician candidates and their families.

  • Provides information and responds to questions regarding Wyoming Medical Center programs, services and facilities, Casper community (or other site), school availability, recreational areas and opportunities, real estate assistance, and other community resources needed to meet their diversified needs and interests.

  • Gathers and compiles interview evaluation summaries and all relevant information regarding physician candidates and ensures this information is made available to decision makers.

  • Identifies areas needing further discussion, clarification and/or research and provides status of reference checks and recommendations to move forward with on-site interviews.

  • Consults with Medical Staff Services, Vice Presidents and others as needed regarding offers of employment.

  • Develops presentation materials regarding candidates and employment offers.

  • Takes appropriate action during Medical Staff Services meetings and in-between meetings, utilizing initiative and judgment to ensure all matters requiring attention are addressed promptly and effectively, or are brought to the attention of a member of the Senior Leadership staff. Assists Wyoming Medical Center Leadership and/or departments with follow-up of any outstanding issues.

  • Develops and maintains effective office procedures and efficient workflow to include telephones, filing, copying, and faxing documents. Maintains confidential files and data.

  • Assists in monitoring market demands for physicians and researches information regarding local market demands for physicians within our local market.

  • Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.

  • Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements

  • Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency safety standards relevant to job performance.

  • Participates in physician retention initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
