Position Summary :

The Senior Manager of Enterprise Change and Communication will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives by increasing employee adoption and understanding. This person will focus on the people side of change – including changes the operating model, job organization structures and ways of working. One of the primary accountabilities for this role will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. In addition, this role will serve as the employee communications lead, partnering with the leadership team to ensure both strategy and execution of internal communications are aligned with employee engagement model and organizational culture. The role holder will play a critical role, working cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization to drive a holistic approach to change management and communication, driving consistency and clarity to internal teams.

The Insights, Invention, & Innovation Architect will take a leading role in identifying large scale solutions for re-usable components and capabilities across our global platforms and web content management implementations, as part of building our next generation K-12 learning experience through experiments and inventions. This includes taking OBL authored & owned content (learning objects) and experimenting with a variety of different educational capabilities, applications, and technologies and using the results to inform how best to integrate as a part of our micro-services architecture, the product roadmap, and strategic decision making.

Core tasks and responsibilities

  • Engages with the Manager of III, Product Leaders, architects and engineers to execute the innovation & invention activities to achieve expressed innovation objectives.
  • Performs duties which include providing architectural strategy & leadership to developing and implementing initiatives that improve K-12 learning experiences in a constantly evolving web content & educational technology space.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for use across multiple domains which include RFPs, vendor evaluations, and the creation of architectural design proposals and diagrams.
  • Develops solutions to problems using methodologies and software application tools, and work with III Content Architect and III Engineer to drive innovation objectives & product vision for efficacious and delightful K-12 learning experiences.
  • Design reliable, scalable, and performance end-to-end architectures which can support multiple schools in a number of geographies across the globe.
  • Be accountable for the quality of the technical solution delivered by the III team.
  • Informs future product offerings by identifying emerging trends in the K-12 virtual learning space, building proofs of concepts with OBL learning objects, systems, and services, and trialling those proofs of concepts with students, families, and school staff.
  • Showcases III teams work to OBL Organization and Customers.
  • Works with a cross-functional Agile team to complete projects and features;

  • Work with Product Development (Content & Software Development) and Product Management to ensure understanding of, and therefore contributes to the development of, a high-quality virtual learning experience.
  • Work with other architects & engineers across the organization to ensure a secure, stable, scalable, quality, inter-operable learning experience.

Training / Competencies Experience

  • Must demonstrate strong architecture experience with complex & scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Must have good understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, & complex integration landscapes.
  • Must have good understanding of content management systems.
  • Must be capable of developing and implementing multiple projects. simultaneously with tight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter and continuous learner – one who is willing to research and acquire new skills.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and pivoting priorities- and help other be comfortable as well.

Must communicate highly complex information to colleagues in a way that can be easily understood Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a computer science, engineering, or technology field.

  • Minimum 5 years experience providing architectural strategy & solutions in a digital product, services, or other educational environment.
  • Experience developing web applications, with at least 2 years working in the Microsoft .NET solutions stack.
  • Experience in Microsoft / Azure / ADP/ .NET / C# development environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google business applications preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Educational Management Systems, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile principles
