The Human Resources Business Partner will support the DISH Technologies division of DISH. The main function of this position is to support HR processes in our site, adding value through broad spectrum HR knowledge. Additional responsibilities are to support DISH business partners with employee relations, compliance, training, and general compensation and benefits issues.

  • Serves as an ambassador for HR strategies, philosophies and initiatives within the organization by recommending employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.

  • Participates in the review of operational business strategy and objectives to determine the implication on human resources objectives.

  • Coaches management on human resources objectives including regulatory compliance training, policy and procedures training and corporate communication initiatives.

  • Change agents who identify areas where change is needed and communicate a compelling vision for the change within the business that generates excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the process

  • Works independently on objectives. Receives little supervision and is able to schedule priorities independently according to business needs ensuring that human resources needs are met in a timely manner at all times. Is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and accessibility to the managers and employees of DISH.

  • Develops productive working partnerships with Operations, and advises management of risks associated with current business practices, recommends improvements by providing expertise to management in local, state and federal employment laws and proactively advises on recommendations and alternatives to human resources strategy to higher-level managers.

A successful HR Business Partner will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experienced in supporting at least 200 employees with 3+ years of direct HR experience.

  • Solid knowledge of local, state and federal laws governing recruiting and employment issues.

  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives with competencies that include, but are not limited to: excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

  • Requires high-level computer expertise, including use of databases, G-Suite products, HRIS systems.

  • Flexible, innovative in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment. Should be comfortable with traveling 10% of the time.
