Blue is looking for a Corporate Assts Specialist who is primarily responsible for the overall administration of the physical security program under the direction of the Director of Corporate Assets. This includes: planning and establishing physical security procedures and training, as well as monitoring. Monitoring will include ensuring security equipment is functioning adequately and third party security relationships are being maintained. This position will also focus on:

  • Coordinates credit union security activities to include: supporting the credit union Security Officer by administering the credit union security program, coordinating annual security training, and administration of the credit union security systems. Functions as a primary liaison with all branch managers and other management to ensure compliance with all physical security policies and procedures. Communicates and educates staff and volunteers on viable security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensures all camera system, alarm systems, and physical security alarm systems are fully functional. This requires remote and on-site inspections, monitoring of the systems along with coordinating with contracted third party vendors to ensure functionality. Possible physical security weaknesses are required to be reported to management immediately. In addition, this position is responsible to ensure that after-hour security monitoring calling trees for third parties and law enforcement are current at all time.
  • Assist in conducting investigations into internal and external security violations, including physical security incidences involving external parties or any security violations by employees. This may also include: bank robberies, burglaries, and producing surveillance regarding law enforcement requests, etc. Assists in direct responses to kidnap/extortion and bomb threat situations. Helps coordinate and maintain Bank Robbery Response Plan. Assists in overseeing employee security training and re-training, including new teller classes, branch seminars and keeping employees up-to-date on current events concerning security.
  • Supports Corporate Assets Department initiatives; provides backup to other key components within the department.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A high school degree or equivalent

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time.
