You will be a partner to an active team of Commercial Bankers located across the First Bank division of Glacier Bank striving to balance sales and credit quality goals. You will be an expert advisor to the Bankers on structuring and Credit Policy. You will be looked upon as a leader within and outside of Underwriting; providing depth to the local credit leadership team and serving as a mentor to less experienced underwriters and bankers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Additionally, you will provide ideas/suggestions on how to market our structure to the customer. Demonstrating excellent communication skills both internally and externally and using those communication skills to effectively solve problems.

Utilizing excellent credit skills to author well thought out and concise analysis of relationships using appropriate structure and identifying key risks associated with clients, transactions and industry trends. Be knowledgeable of cash flow, both traditional and historical analysis including Uniform Credit Analysis formats. Prepare, in written form, a presentation of the borrower’s loan request as outlined in First Banks loan policy.

Managing your loan request pipeline, acting with a sense of urgency and determination in closing transactions. Analyze financial statements and prepare comments regarding the borrower’s ability to repay (including financial condition and operating performance).

Demonstrating excellent communication skills both internally and externally and using those communication skills to effectively solve problems. The ability and courage to voice your opinion in a clear, concise manner and to defend that position.

Having the ability to quickly and accurately evaluate smaller relationships to determine if the risk profile is acceptable and recommend simple structures that adequately protect the bank while not over engineering the transaction.

Working proactively, in a constructive, diplomatic manner, with both internal and external contacts to keep transactions moving. Work in partnership with the Bankers to develop fulsome customer relationships including being looked to as the go to person when the banker is out.

Managing and supervising staff along with training the lending staff. Providing leadership in the market by being a positive contributor to the team including: being a mentor to less experienced team members and embracing change.
