Job Description
Chef II
Department: Kitchen
Reports to: Assistant Camp Manager
Overtime: Following the completion of 40 hours within the work week
Location: As Assigned
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of the Chef II are to support the Head Chef (Chef III) in the daily operations of a fully functioning kitchen environment including food preparation, food presentation and kitchen management support.
DUTIES:
- Create a variety of food options for customers through meal planning.
- Prepare various meal items daily in accordance with the changing menu.
- Support the Chef III in food inventory control management.
- Fill in for all Chef III and Night Baker duties during their scheduled 2 week leave.
- Comply with all state food safety rules and regulations.
- Supervise the kitchen staff and daily operations as needed.
- Assist in training efforts as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of cooking experience in a food services environment required.
- 1 year in a management role preferred.
- Culinary Arts Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long durations of time.
- Must meet pre-hire background check and urinalysis standards. Must provide transportation to and from facility
