The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for underwriting and risk analysis of individuals, companies and industries within the served markets. Performs detailed financial and collateral analysis of credit requests and completes presentations on findings to commercial lenders and senior management. Under the direction of lending managers, the senior analyst is responsible for structuring credit requests, developing complex credit investigations and portfolio monitoring tasks including covenant compliance and annual reviews. Performs research related to projects such as industry studies, management reports and trend analysis. Works with internal business units to ensure prompt loan processing and customer satisfaction.

1. Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance to bank operating policies.

2. Conduct detailed, financial and collateral analysis on credit requests.

3. Research and prepare background documentation including: cash flow projections, personal and business financial statements, industry/market analysis and feasibility of the transaction.

4. Analyze financial information and prepare conclusions for commercial lenders based on factual metrics.

5. Prepare written analysis, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions.

6. Prepare or assist in the preparation of loan memorandum for presentation to lenders and/or loan committee.

7. Interpret and apply Bank credit policies and federal regulatory rules related to commercial and consumer lending.

8. Assist in the development of other analysts.

9. Maintain loan pipeline, coordinate deadlines with lenders, and allocate tasks to the analyst team.

10. Follow all applicable laws and regulations.

11. Participates in client meetings with commercial lenders as required.

12. Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall operations of the Credit/Loan department.

13. Adherence to all bank human resources policies and procedures, federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working with complex credits

2. Experience working with CRE and C&I credits

3. Completion of formal credit training program

Other Responsibilities

1. Participate in or assist with bank wide initiatives and programs.

2. Abide by all safety rules set forth by the bank and regulatory agencies.

3. Perform all other duties, projects, and responsibilities assigned by the Chief Credit Officer or any of their designated representatives.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position requires supervision of the analyst team under the direction of the Chief Credit Officer. Responsibilities include task delegation, assist in performance evaluation of other analysts, development of new analysts and day to day mentoring.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and adding machines.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, bend, exercise manual dexterity and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; scheduled hours are 8:00 am through 5:00 pm. The employee must work a minimum of 30 hours each week to maintain full time status.

TravelNo overnight travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance or related field preferred with a minimum of 5 years of related accounting, lending or credit analysis experience.
