The ideal candidates will perform a variety of duties involved in the parks including maintenance, landscaping, reconstruction, and repair services.less thanbr>less thanbr>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESless thanbr> Operate a wide variety of equipment and tools used in parks and athletic fields maintenance, repair, and construction in a safe and effective manner.less thanbr> Perform parks maintenance, landscaping, reconstruction and repair work.less thanbr> Operate field computers to track GIS data.less thanbr> Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.less thanbr> Deal tactfully with the public.less thanbr> Understand and follow oral and written directions.less thanbr> Prepare written reports and fill out forms on work completed.less thanbr> Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.less thanbr>less thanbr>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying):less thanbr> Must be at least 18 years of age.less thanbr> Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, and climb.less thanbr> Successful candidate will encounter exposure to noise, outdoors, confining work space, dust, and mechanical hazards.less thanbr> Ability to develop skills in a wide variety of equipment operation and basic mechanical skills.less thanbr> Ability to work with other employees and to interact with the public; ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.less thanbr> Ability to work nights and/or weekends when necessary.less thanbr> First aid and CPR certifications are required and will be made available through on the job training.
