About Role

Plenty is looking for a People and Culture Generalist to join our People team. The People & Culture Generalist is a hands-on solutions-oriented role that will have a direct impact on shaping our people strategy and people experience with a broad range of responsibilities across the entire employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for supporting employees and managers on a variety of issues related to, but not limited to accommodations, benefits, compliance, employee engagement, employee relations, performance, workers' compensation, and leaves of absence, as well as training and development.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries; quickly answering questions in a professional manner in accordance with Company policy, escalate and direct where appropriate
  • Promote the Company culture and values by engaging with employees, identifying and surfacing employee and organizational issues, addressing concerns and providing thought leadership and support to employees and business leaders
  • Act as diversity and inclusion champion, supporting Company-wide DEI initiatives and ensuring implementation of inclusive People practices
  • Maintain knowledge, trends, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, best practices, and serve as advocate for team members, providing them with appropriate information as needed
  • Create, implement and document new processes and procedures for the organization, including contributing to Company repository for SOPs; working closely with internal communications
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and managers in the resolution of employee relations issues, support investigations, and document information as needed. Ensure timely and fair resolution to employee disputes and conflicts
  • Provide training and coaching to managers and employees on all aspects of performance, development, and policies and procedures interpretation
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and off-boarding, while fostering positive experiences
  • Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS system and in employee files
  • Travel less than 10%
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the table

  • BA / BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • Empathetic and employee-focused approach: caring deeply about people, helping them to achieve their personal and professional goals, and enabling them to do the best and most meaningful work
  • Superior problem solving abilities with a natural curiosity for solutions and process improvements
  • Excellent project management and organization skills with a detail oriented mindset. You enjoy to-do lists and you're always double checking
  • Ability to effectively develop and deliver manager and employee training programs
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; ability to build meaningful relationships with employees at all levels across the organization in order to lead change
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, understand trends and develop recommendations
  • Start-up experience or experience in areas that are fast-paced and dynamically changing. Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and learning as you go
