Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Construction Management Representative (CMR) will be overseeing the onsite and offsite construction for the rehabilitation of the Moose administrative office building. The work will consist of oversight on the demolition of the existing roofing, roofing underlayment, insulation, and sheathing down to the existing metal roof deck.

The place of performance will be at Grand Teton National Park, Moose, WY.

This is contingent on the award of the contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitors project budget, time constraints, including relevant costs and schedule growth metrics

  • Overseeing and directing the demolition of existing roofing membranes and insulation as well as preparation of roof deck to receive a new asphalt shingle roofing assembly; Abatement and lawful disposal of hazardous materials, including bulk asbestos and lead-based paint

  • Reviews and implements construction safety and quality programs, ensure regulations on health, safety, and the environment (HSE) are adhered to

  • Communicate effectively and prepare required reports with the A/E Firm, and the Contracting Officer’s Representative to achieve Quality Assurance

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Degree in engineering, architecture, or any related field of study

  • Knowledgeable in construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations (must have a minimum of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training and OSHA Fall Protection Training),

  • Knowledge in cost breakdown estimating and negotiating, and technical writing

  • Ability to manipulate Primavera Project and Microsoft Project schedule

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. The CMR must also have experience using SharePoint websites for document sharing and control

  • Proficient in English both written and verbal

  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
