To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Process Safety Management Coordinator opportunity, you will have:

  • A high school diploma; a bachelors' degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in process safety management in industrial environments, ideally including refineries; 7 to 10 years of experience is preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of OSHA's 14 elements of PSM.

  • The ability to conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs).

  • Knowledge of incident investigation methodologies.

  • Knowledge of emergency planning requirements and incident command system (ICS) structure.

  • Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with MS Access or other databases is strongly preferred. Quick question for you - click here

  • Experience improving programs is a plus.

Just as important will be the following competencies and characteristics:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

    • Learn quickly.

  • Solid organizational and time management skills.

In general you will work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. However, you'll also need to be flexible about working into the evening or during a weekend as necessary. You'll spend most of your time in the office, but there will be time when you'll need to be outside, sometimes in adverse conditions, such as for equipment turnarounds.
