LPN Job Description

We are a growing company and have current openings for skilled LPN’s. You will provide outstanding patient care and physical support for patients and residents on a daily basis. This role requires your LPN license to work in the state specified in the job details. Review the below responsibilities and requirements for this role.

Job Type: Temporary

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of an LPN may include, but are not limited to the following;

  • Monitoring and recording the eating habits of the patients and how many times they are using the washroom.
  • Assembling the equipment
  • Providing the basic bedside care including dressing wounds, changing bandages, inserting catheters, and giving injections.
  • Collect and record patient's vital signs, Regulate vaccinations and injections, Interview patients and examine their medical history.
  • Report abnormal findings
  • Review and maintain updated health records
  • Follow up with patient doctors order or test results
  • Assist registered nurses as assigned by Register nurse/ Nursing Supervisor
  • Administer medications
  • Complete admission note (within your scope of practice)
  • Review patients documentation or paperwork
  • Starting, monitoring, or discontinuing IV catheters or fluids
  • Aid in phlebotomy by analyzing patient, reviewing tests, and setting patient and puncture site
  • Manage adequate inventory of examination room supplies and set the rooms.
  • Communicate with third party businesses such as pharmacies
  • May be expected to supervise certified nursing assistants and other non-licensed nursing professionals
  • May be expected to contribute to administrative duties including but not limited to answer calls, replying to messages, and executing triage where permitted

Requirements

  • Valid LPN license
  • Minimum of 6 months LPN experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to apply Critical thinking to resolve problems
  • Oral and written communication
