The Chief Finance Officer is responsible for the following:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works well and communicates daily with CEO, other shift supervisors, team members;

Effectively works and communicates with other departments, vendors, customers to resolve problems and expedite work or services;
-
Knowledge, competency and enforcement of all aspects of the Finance Department policies, procedures, rules and regulations;
-
Responsible for the conduct of Finance employees;
-
Observe and evaluate employees performance, make corrections when necessary;
-
Supports casino management in development by being involved in brainstorming, suggesting ideas and solutions and providing ongoing feedback;
-
Demonstrate decision-making and problem resolution by efficiently handling disputes;
-
As a working Manager assists entire department when and where needed;
- Assists with budget and helps controls expenses within budget guidelines and assures the security and protection of casino assets;
-
Oversee preparation of timely financial reports, logs and other documents for audit of operational, financial and regulatory activities;
-
Reports any noncompliance or material weaknesses with MICS, internal procedures and NIGC regulations and corrects potential regulatory violations to the CEO;
-
Assists any internal or external independent public accountants whenever possible;
-
Reviews and appraises all audit work required by our financial procedures, rules & regulations;
-
Maintain confidentiality at all times;
-
Attends all mandatory training, staff meetings, etc.

All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
-
Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Must have experience working finance, audits and accounts payable.
- Attendance at all training and opportunities offered such as: CPR/First Aid, MICS, Title 31, etc. is mandatory
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

Must be able to manage and know all policies procedures and report any and all violations;

Must have supervisory skills, administrative skills, marketing skills, analytical skills and conflict resolution skills and be computer literate;
-
Must have the ability to manage and supervise professionally;
-
Must have ability to communicate orally and in writing to help resolve problems and expedite work or service;
-
Must have ability to manage critical deadlines, priorities effective and efficiently;
-
Must have significant experience (10+ years) in a gaming environment with emphasis in internal auditing and accounting;
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must be dependable, reliable and able and willing to work long shifts including peak hours, promotions, holidays and weekends;
-
Must continue to obtain a license under the requirements of the Northern Arapaho Gaming Agency;
-
Must have a valid driver's license;
-
Must pass a pre-employment drug test;
-
Native American preference applies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time;

Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds;

Must have good manual and finger dexterity;
-
Must have good eye sight for prolonged periods of concentration;

Must have ability to deal with and adapt to frequent changes, delays and unexpected events at times.
