Senior Site Superintendent

Betance Enterprises, Inc. (Betance), a successful Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business general contractor is seeking a qualified Senior Superintendent with a strong drive to achieve results, the ability to solve problems, and a dedication to client service and relationship management!

The Senior Superintendent provides overall leadership for on-site field administration, supervision and technical management for all construction operations on assigned project(s) in Sheridan, Wyoming. This includes direct supervision of subcontractors, and other construction related personnel. Directing them in planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget, implementing and maintaining health and safety commitment, working with the project manager on the overall management of the project, promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company image.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.

PROJECT FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In coordination with the project manager develop general conditions budget and manage and control the budget.
  • Review, approve, and code subcontractor and vendor payment applications and miscellaneous invoices.
  • Strategize with the project manager to ensure risk is addressed at the project level

PRECONSTRUCTION SERVICES

  • Assist preconstruction and project management to develop an initial project schedule and communicate sequence and schedule updates to all subcontractors and vendors.
  • Prepare or assist in preparing phasing plans, quality control plans, safety plans etc.

PROJECT START-UP AND EXECUTION

  • Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce a project site specific safety program.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
  • Attending project meetings.
  • Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
  • Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Perform and monitor all jobsite control reporting measures including daily reports, accident and incident reports, emergency action plan, erosion and sediment control documentation, and timesheets.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 5+ years of experience in build-out construction preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as a construction superintendent preferred
  • Includes extensive experience managing trades/ sub-contractors in the field.
  • Demonstrated skills of field management: including managing site activity, labor relations, anticipation and resolution of field related issues, establishment and enforcement of site schedule requirements, managing site safety and managing insurance risks. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook.
  • Ability to assist project manager in proposal efforts when pursuing work to include schedule, logistics, assist in general conditions development.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The majority of work is completed on job sites in an office trailer or in an existing structure. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $41.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Construction Experience: 1 year (Required)
