What We're Looking For

The Coatings and Shipping Manager helps EMIT build the best in metal manufacturing by providing leadership and oversight to the coatings and shipping teams to ensure the quality of the products and processes involved with coating and testing are ordered, delivered, and completed on-time and to a high-quality standard.

Duties include:

  • Monitor workforce and adjust duties to maintain Production Schedule
  • Utilize FAB (production control software) to verify schedule is maintained and project future scheduling needs
  • Ad-hoc maintenance and assembly of tools
  • Non-preventative maintenance
  • Oversee and verify that QA/QC procedures are being conducted and documentation is in place
  • Improve shipping processes and procedures, and ensure documentation is in place
  • Escalate QA/QC failures addressed and decisions on procedure changes/corrective actions need to be made
  • Monitor paint, powders and other supplies to maintain inventory at proper stocking levels

  • Schedule and Coordinate training with outside vendors for paint and powder

What You Bring to the Table

Required Skills

  • 2+ years in Painting and Powder Coating
  • Experience managing or supervising shipping, receiving, and inventory
  • 2-3 years managing 3+ employees
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to interact effectively with the Team, foster teamwork and demonstrate professionalism
  • Possess exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be punctual and flexible regarding work hours and shifts
  • Ability to identify and prioritize tasks
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow schedules and instructions from Managers to work at the necessary pace to complete all daily tasks
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
  • Ambition to learn new processes and suggest process improvements
  • Understand the importance of safety and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain equipment and keep a clean, safe and orderly workspace
