EMIT’s North 4.0 Office Manager will coordinate, direct and develop the intentional internal and external programming for the facility in alignment with the priorities of the employees and community of Sheridan. The Office Manager will fill the role of Office Manager, Front Desk Reception, Barista, and Community and Customer Program Coordinator. This position will be responsible for building and sustaining EMIT’s culture throughout the North 4.0 campus and programs. The Office Manager will play a critical role in representing EMIT with high energy and professionalism.

Job Requirements

  • Maintaining the necessary responsibilities as the receptionist, including but not limited to: welcoming all visitors to North 4.0, coordinating meeting room space, ensuring common areas are well kept and stocked with necessary items
  • Overseeing and supporting all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly
  • Managing office supplies inventory and placing orders as necessary
  • Receiving and sorting incoming mail and deliveries, and managing outgoing mail
  • Developing office policies and procedures, and ensuring they are implemented appropriately
  • Overseeing office supply budget
  • Directing employees to the appropriate resources or staff when questions arise
  • Identifying opportunities for process and office management improvements, and designing and implementing new systems
  • Providing other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, and creating reports
  • Training employees on coffee bar operations
  • Oversee activities and schedule of the gym, workout space, barbershop/hair salon, auditorium/theater and other areas as required
  • Coordinating community programs and the required outreach to facilitate with external audiences
  • Coordinating customer programs with a focus on service to our visiting customers
  • Working across the organization to identify priorities and the necessary requirements needed to facilitate programs at North 4.0
  • Representing EMIT when necessary as a community partner
  • Maintaining a positive and professional attitude to help build and sustain EMIT’s culture

Required Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3-5 years of office management experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Must be a self-starter and driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
