For additional information about the BLM, please visit Our website.ResponsibilitiesThis position serves as an Administrative Support Assistant for Support Services in the Wind River Bighorn District Office within Wyoming Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The incumbent will focus primarily on duties related to budget/finance, records management, procurement and filing. The position will support budget and finance tracking and planning, process various transactions in an automated financial system, serve as the principal support for purchasing and records management. Maintain and review financial documents. District lead in the completion of records reviews, inventories and dispositions in accordance with records schedule. Prepare necessary documentation and coordinate the transfer of records to the Federal Records Center. Resolve issues related to missing materials and filing errors. Maintain the central filing systems and provide assistance in researching and location reface information and other files. Prepare appropriate receipts, records and track forms. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled.To qualify for the GS-06 level: You must have at leastone year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level, OR 1 full year of directly related graduate level education, OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.Specialized experience for the GS-06 level is defined as:Performing standardized budgetary transactions in an automated financial system and maintain budget documents. Preparing receipts and deposits, reconciling accounts, and transferring funds between accounts. Assisting with records reviews, inventories, dispositions, and transfers. Maintaining a central filing system and providing assistance in researching and locating files.To qualify for the GS-07 level: You must have at leastone year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level, OR 1 full year of directly related graduate level education, OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.Specialized experience for the GS-07 level is defined as: Performing standardized budgetary transactions in an automated financial system and maintain budget documents. Identifyingbudgetary issues or problems and seeking solutions based on relevant regulations. Preparing receipts and deposits, reconciling accounts, and transferring funds between accounts. Performing records reviews, inventories, dispositions, and transfers. Maintaining a central filing system and providing assistance in researching and locating files.You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604.
