Psychiatry Associates of Wyoming is looking to hire a part time Medical Office Assistant to also assist with office needs at Psychiatry Associates of Wyoming in Casper. This position will check in and greet patients as they come into the clinic as well as answer the phone and direct phone calls appropriately, and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Candidates must have excellent communication, organization and follow-up skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Candidates should demonstrate good judgment as well as attention to detail while working well with a team.
Additionally, this position will be required some flexibility in availability mostly Tuesday-Thursdays 2-6 pm and some Saturdays 10am-3 pm. It depends on our work load, additional time for hourly pay can be available.
Essential of Office Associate Functions
Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel
Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department
Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information
Welcomes on-site visitors and monitors visitor access and issues passes when required
Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes
Schedules appointments for patients and physicians
Collect patient demographics and insurance information
Prepares new patient charts, sends out new patient paperwork, and verifies paperwork when received
Collates & compiles medical records in each chart
Organizes charts as requested
Collects payments for services
Performs other clerical duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree preferred
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Clear communication skills
Must be self-motivated
Computer skills proficient with Microsoft Office products as well as familiar with EMR systems
Competence to operate a computer software and basic office equipment.
Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
Skill in answering the telephone in a pleasant, professional, and helpful manner.
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish rapport and maintain effective working relationship with patients, employees and the public.
Ability to remain well organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to maintain privacy in all aspects of the job.
Updates and maintains digital client records.
Ability to record patient information such as vital signs, weight, changes in medical history including medications prior to appointment.
Facilitates connection with prescriber via teleconferencing and support communication of needed information to and from the prescriber.

Salary: $12.00 to $17.00 /hour
