Seeking Freelance News Reporter / Writer / Journalist for a news outlet based in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
WHO WE ARE: We are Golden Media, Inc., based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and we are developing media outlets in both print and digital (web, social, etc).
WHO WE ARE SEEKING:
We are seeking a "news hound," who has experience working in a newsroom or as a writer, editor, or journalist for a print / digital media outlet. You'll focus on hyper-local community news, club and school news, calendars, lifestyle and events, and news and information of interest locally. You'll have excellent editing, copy editing, and re-write skills.
You should also be able to take good photos for use on a website, social media, and print. Must be "up to speed" on computer use, content management (such as blogging interfaces, so that you can upload news stories), and social media platforms. You'll need your own car, mobile phone, and computer (this is working from home to start).
