Tour Guide and Driver for Castner Glacier tours.
We are looking for people to guide small groups of people via snowshoe hike to Castner Glacier. Guides are also drivers of the vans most of the time. Hiring 2-3 people to work 3-4 days a week. We operate 7 days a week so flexible schedule or pre-set days, depending on amount of bookings. This is a seasonal position for the Winter 2025-2026.
Number one requirement we are looking for are quality DRIVERS. Must have clean driving record and the more experience driving in winter conditions, the better. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to have held a driving job in the past, but we are looking for a summary of what makes you a qualified driver. We will submit the photo of your license to our insurance and quote your driver rating pre-hire.
Number two requirement is must be good with guests. We don't do a ton of education on these tours but guests do ask questions and it is required to have a general knowledge of the area. We will also train you on some of the stuff you need to know so we are looking for people that show the ability to learn knew things and teach other people the knowledge. Guest interaction is key, and we are looking for people that enjoy hanging out with tourists and bring a good mood and personality to the job.
Number three requirement is the ability to walk approximately 4 miles on the snowshoe hike. Activity level is considered 'Moderate' as this is a two mile out-and-back hike to the glacier. The trail is flat.
In short we are looking for good drivers, people with positive attitudes and good personalities and people looking for flexible part-time work. Hiring asap. Pay is $225 per day plus tips. It's about a 9 hour day starting about 8:15am
