Lead Maintenance Technician — Vacation Rentals & Small Hotels
Location: Homer, Alaska
We are a family-run hospitality company in Homer, AK, managing a range of properties from boutique cabins to small hotels. We’re looking for a reliable, long-term Lead Maintenance Person who takes pride in their work and can help us uphold the clean, classy, high-quality experience we promise our guests.
About the Role
This position oversees maintenance across multiple vacation rentals and small hotel properties. The day-to-day varies throughout the year and requires a solid handyman skill set along with the ability to recognize issues before they become problems.
Year-Round Responsibilities Include:
General property maintenance and repairs
Winter projects and remodels
Snow clearing during winter months
Yard, hot tub and exterior maintenance during summer
Identifying and addressing issues proactively
Helping uphold company standards for cleanliness, quality, and guest experience
What We’re Looking For
Strong handyman or maintenance background
Self-motivated and able to manage varying day-to-day tasks
Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
Ability to mesh well with a small, family-run team
Commitment to long-term employment and shared standards of quality
Willingness to complete a background check, drug test and provide references
Hours & Compensation
Winter: 20–40 hours per week
Peak Season (April–September): Full-time, 40+ hours per week
Pay is competitive and based on skill level and experience
