Here, our employees and their families can connect with the outdoors and enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere.  VisitGlobe-Miami.com) (https://www.globemiamichamber.com/) to learn more. DescriptionHighly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.

Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components.

Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines.

Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.

Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.

Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks.

Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick.

Performs as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.

Train and mentor other employees.

Perform other duties as required.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.

Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.

HEM Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP.

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English

Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skills

Ability to troubleshoot machine systems

Ability to work and effectively communicate with others

Ability to read and use blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Criteria/Conditions:

This is a Safety sensitive role

While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see and work in confined spaces

Occasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday

May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

What We Offer YouThe estimated pay range for this role is currently  $27.00 - $37.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
