Compiles data documentation and distributes scheduled and requested reports.

Prepares out-going communications and related material for department as requested from verbal direction or from knowledge of system policy or procedures. Ensures that written communication is clear grammatically correct proo and approved and prior to final distribution

Coordinates evaluates and modifies schedule(s) conferences orientation and meetings including distributing materials transcribing minutes processing reimbursements travel and lodging arrangements if necessary.

Establishes and accurately maintains files database(s) and records on an ongoing basis for the department. Assists with coordination and maintenance of employee records for performance evaluations.

Active member of committee(s) or collaborative teams as required by duties.

Obtain Insurance authorizations per required health plan guidelines

Obtain Benefit and eligibility information. Accurately calculate out of pocket costs and effectively communicate the information to patients.

Accurately register pre-register and discharge patients in accordance with established guidelines

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum of one (1) year Receptionist/Secretarial experience in a clinical setting.

High school diploma or GED

Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites.

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.

General office skills with ability to compose correspondence memoranda and billing.

Preferred:

Medical terminology experience
