You have done either design (core engineering) or manufacturing engineering work. You have actively used either a product lifecycle management or product data management system and you understand the data concepts: parts, documents, bills of materials, and release & change management especially when it comes to New Product Introduction processes. You haven’t had to administer the PLM/PDM system, but you have used it extensively as an end user and understand when it works well and meets needs and when it doesn’t. Maybe you have had the opportunity to participate in a process and/or data improvement exercise and recognize how to run those sessions, work effectively, and reach a successful conclusion. You are accountable for work, don’t mind ambiguity, can operate self-guided, and can get things done with quality in mind. You can team with others and collaborate. You are able to define your work and communicate that definition clearly. You can create a plan to execute that work and then execute it as constructed. You are proactive when it comes to communication with your team members and project stakeholders. You are comfortable leading and coaching others even in complex environments. You are comfortable leading conversations, facilitating working sessions, and presenting to others. The work: Working with your client, analyze current processes and practices and facilitate the redesign in the core areas of Product Lifecycle management: Part management, BOM management, Product line management, Change, New Product Release, Document management, and collaboration.

Apply strong analytical skills to dig deep into clients’ R&D and PLM capabilities to identify where clients can leverage data and process re-engineering

Align client requirements to a theoretical solution design

Create and execute plans for the process and technology transformation

Build data model and process diagrams

Review the deliverables consistently with your client

Facilitate client working sessions as required

Create quality deliverables.

Guide a team of consultants.

Work directly with the client on schedule, deliverable expectations, review and sign off

Here's what you need:

6+ of extensive experience on PLM functional side (Not only on technology / IT side) with major PLM platforms, including Oracle, Dassault, Siemens, PTC or Aras.

6+ years of experience with New Product Introduction, Engineering Change Management, Release Management.

6+ years of experience working with design / manufacturing engineering processes of physical products.

6+ years of experience with process analysis and re-engineering.

Ability to drive initiatives and proactively coordinate with different stakeholders

Bonus Points If:

Prior Consulting experience

High tech discrete product experience

A bachelor’s degree in engineering
