Our client is a leading aerospace and metal finishing company specializing in plating, anodizing, and precision surface treatments for aerospace and defense customers. The Quality Assurance Inspector performs receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet aerospace and customer specifications. This position supports production by identifying defects, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate inspection records.
Pay Rate: $19–$22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Key Responsibilities
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Inspect parts before and after chemical processing (anodize, chem film, plating, etc.).
Verify part counts, job travelers, and customer paperwork.
Identify surface defects such as pitting, corrosion, scratches, or handling damage.
Document inspection results and complete required logs.
Assist with first article inspections and internal audits.
Collaborate with production leads to resolve quality issues.
Maintain a clean and safe inspection area.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ year of inspection experience in aerospace, metal finishing, or manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read basic blueprints and follow customer specifications.
Familiarity with AS9100 or NADCAP environments is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and documentation.
Must pass background check and drug screen.
