We deliver, staff, and operate the toughest machines, for the toughest jobs. Join our dynamic team as a diesel mechanic specialized in crane and heavy equipment mechanics. We are looking for someone to ensure our jobs are done right the first time beginning with the equipment leaving the yard road ready.
What you’ll do:
Diagnose mechanical issues in diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment such as dump trailers, heavy haul trailers, crane trucks, and crane rigging systems.
Execute brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and hydraulic system maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct thorough inspections of machinery to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Maintain accurate records of all services performed on equipment for compliance with OEM standards.
Basic qualifications:
Crane specialized knowledge and experience is preferred!
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine mechanics, crane rigging systems, and heavy haul semi trailers.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment related to heavy machinery.
Familiarity with electrical systems in heavy equipment and the ability to perform basic electrical repairs.
Capability to lift heavy objects safely as part of routine job functions.
Preferred qualifications:
3-5 years minimum West-Mec or equivalent certification.
