Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Anaheim, California. This role forms an integral part of our finance team, with a focus on managing the accounts payable processes, maintaining customer relations, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.Responsibilities: Efficiently and accurately process credit applications from customers Monitor customer accounts and execute appropriate actions for delayed payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer credit Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address any account-related issues Generate and analyze accounts payable aging reports for regular updates to management Assist in the reconciliation of accounts and the preparation of necessary reports during month-end closing activities Address and resolve any billing discrepancies and customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures as well as any applicable regulations Support audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations regarding accounts payable transactions Maintain an organized and up-to-date financial database, recording invoices, payments, and collections. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Check Runs Ability to perform Coding Invoices Strong Data Entry skills Experience in Invoice Processing Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Proficiency in QuickBooks Familiarity with Sage 100 and Sage 300 Background in the Construction industry is a plus Knowledge of Construction Accounting Experience with 3 Way Matching Ability to Enter Invoices accurately and efficiently Experience in High-Volume Invoicing Understanding of the Invoice process, including approvals and payments Ability to perform Invoice Reconciliation effectively.
