Learn more at www.dignityhealth.org/arroyo-grande.ResponsibilitiesIn keeping with the Marian Medical Center philosophy, the Central Service Technician supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care by cleaning, processing and sterilization of instruments and surgical ware. Prepares surgical case carts. Monitors sterilizing equipment for correct parameters. Compiles data for Quality Control Measures for the department. Inventories all supply carts. Delivers equipment and medical supplies to nursing units. Assists in training of newly hired personnel.QualificationsMinimum Qualfications:

CT BLS

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members.

Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies and procedures.

Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation used in surgical and invasive procedures.

Demonstrates ability to prioritize work, work without close supervision, and has a memory for details.

Ability to function in fast-paced, everchanging environment.

Ability to respond to telephone requests quickly and accurately.

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical supplies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Six to twelve months of related experience desired.

Previous acute care experience in hospital with supplies preferred with emphasis on knowledge of medical supplies.
